Sonic Vibration and Self Realization

Why does sound and music have such an effect on us? One answer has to do with the process called entrainment, whereby various bodily processes-respiration, heart rate, and brain waves-synchronize with the frequencies of what we hear.

For example, a stroll on the beach becomes deeply relaxing as body rhythms entrain to the lulling sound of the ocean’s waves. When you listen to slow, relaxing music, your heart naturally beats more slowly, breathing deepens, and brain waves slow down all of which are linked with relaxation and healing. This creates a more meditative, relaxed, and clear perception.

The music here can be played during various forms of therapies, yoga, bodywork, and meditation even studying for relaxation or artistic endeavors.

This program offers multiple meditative tools and breathing techniques and visualization to assist in relaxation and acceptance where healing begins. These programs can be held in our natural indoor/outdoor studio in North Madison CT or in the comfort of your own home. A great way to spend an hour with friends!

The Goal of our Sessions:

To evaluate and recognize a group or individual needs through a healing circle. Based on that evaluation we will apply the needed tools that help best to alleviate stress, pain or discomfort with a better sense of understanding and practical tools to assist in your healing.

Various sonic vibration instruments will be used such as Tibetan Bowls, Native American flutes, harp and Didgeridoos. We will discuss and apply customized techniques necessary to enhance your awareness and how to create a relaxed, healing environments. Several different modalities will be discussed from Buddhism to Native American beliefs and many schools of thought in-between, delivered in a sonic experience of self-discovery. We are looking globally for our universal truths. There is diverse and wonderful world of cultural beliefs out there geared to connect us to source energy, we have collected and put together a multitude of techniques focused around that one truth!

This program is intended to help you better manage stress in your life. These teachings are a combination of techniques and lessons I have learned by studying with my masters and through my personal experience from my global travels over the past 15 years. I bring these teachings to you in order to help better your experience on this planet and help you to create a more loving and joyous experience for you and your loved ones. Life is a journey for all of us, but only some of us are using these techniques to make our experience all that it can be.

There is a saying that the teacher will arrive when the student is ready, are you ready?

Try this little exercise that takes less than 30 seconds!:

Read through the directions first then perform this exercise at the end.

 

     Center yourself, get into a quiet and comfortable position, close your eyes and perform the following.

You are going to take three deep breaths. By deep I mean your stomach should rise and fall, not just in your chest.

     With each breath you will allow yourself to become more and more relaxed and you will find and release tension in your body with each exhale (just three breaths).

Clear your mind and just allow the non stop thoughts you hear in your head to do what they will, like watching children that are not yours playing at a park.

First breath I want you to breathe in the thought of total acceptance, feel what that feels like. Total means EVERYTHING!

     Hold your breath for a few seconds and feel the stillness in your body and mind, feel the fullness of your lungs.

Exhale with the thought of letting go of whatever does not serve you. Let go of pain, let go of thoughts that bother or disturb you, let go of the past, right up to the last few seconds you just experienced, even if just for that exhale.

     The next two breaths continue with Inhale Acceptance, Hold on the Stillness, Exhale Surrender

So it looks like this:

     1) Inhale Acceptance

     2) Hold on Stillness

     3) Exhale Surrender

And last but not least relax your eyelids! Try this as often as you can consciously remember to focus on just three breaths and you are on your way!

Hello my name is Pete Onofrio. I have been working and playing indigenous instruments for over a decade. With great thanks to the Sacred Mystery I have been guided to many forms of indigenous sounds and the healing arts. I find great relief in listening and making music that caters to easing the listeners’ body, mind and spirit.

Looking deeper into the world of sound as a healing modality I have come to realize a bit more of how and why these frequencies are doing what they are doing. My intention is to provide you with healing frequencies to assist you in growth and transformation. Moving the listener into higher vibration levels of consciousness where self-healing happens. I have found through research and experience that this form of therapy can help when dealing with many forms of ailments and disease such as:
